This handsome orientalist large decorative lidded box is from the French Art Deco period. The Africanist influence design boasts Macassar wood carved faces on top of the lid featuring an African woman and man. The rectangular shape has a lid and off-white Galalith rounded feet. A huge carved wooden finial is on the lid. A tiny off-white Galalith plaque on the side reads: "Empire Francais."
