A superb pair of handcrafted leather and metal bookends made by Gucci in Italy in the 1970s. This rare large-scale set features two gilded metal partridges resting on a hand-stitched leather "L" base. The pedestals are covered in red leather on all sides and have black leather on the edges and taupe suede on the underside.
Each piece is marked: "Made in Italy by Gucci" on the suede undersides. These bookends would make the perfect addition to any library, study, or office. These make a wonderfully unique gift.
