Jacques Adnet designed this elegant small side table with glass vide-poche in the 1950s. The geometric four-foot stand has its original black painted metal with the designer's signature classic gilded brass ball feet and ends. The stand securely holds a heavy square molded art glass ashtray or catchall. Lumax crafted this industrial thick molded glass ashtray in their factory in France. The original design of the vide poche is by Le Corbusier. This ashtray model, known as "Nevada," was used by Charlotte Perriand and Jacques Adnet as a complementary accessory for several of their designs. The glass top of this side table is marked on the side with the engraving Nevada.
